EXPERIENCE
Rachel’s passion for physical therapy began through her own experiences as a competitive gymnast and athlete. After experiencing injuries and rehabilitation firsthand, she developed an early appreciation for the impact that high-quality physical therapy can have—not only in recovering from injury, but in helping individuals become stronger, more resilient, and more confident in what their bodies are capable of.
While earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Rachel completed clinical internships specializing in manual therapy and neuromuscular rehabilitation. Upon graduation, she received both the Manual Therapy Excellence Award and Neuromuscular Excellence Award for her clinical performance. She continued her education through advanced orthopedic manual physical therapy training and was recognized as Detroit’s Best of the Best Physical Therapist in 2021.
Rachel is especially passionate about working with athletes and active individuals, as well as patients who have been unsuccessful with traditional physical therapy. She believes exceptional care requires looking beyond symptoms to understand the movement, mobility, strength, and neuromuscular factors contributing to each individual’s limitations.
That philosophy inspired Rachel to open Elite Physical Therapy in 2021 with a mission to redefine what physical therapy can look like. Through individualized, one-on-one care without unnecessary limitations on treatment, she combines advanced manual therapy, movement assessment, neuromuscular re-education, and progressive strength and performance training to create a truly individualized approach.
Rachel’s goal is never simply to get someone “back to normal.” It is to help each patient return to the sport, training, and life they love—stronger, more capable, and often beyond what they thought was possible.
PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT
Rachel is actively involved in advancing physical therapy education and supporting the development of athletes within her community. She previously served as an assistant instructor within a Doctor of Physical Therapy program and continues to educate future clinicians by mentoring doctoral-level physical therapy students through clinical internships.
Her expertise in sports rehabilitation and performance has also led to opportunities to present at statewide dance conferences on strength, mobility, and injury prevention. Rachel has established partnerships with multiple local dance and baseball organizations, providing a trusted physical therapy resource for their athletes. She works closely with athletes throughout the full continuum of care—from injury rehabilitation and return-to-sport to off-season strength and performance training.
